What you will do

SUMMARY

This role reports directly to the CEO and will act as liaison between the CEO, the Board, Chairman, the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and the rest of the organization. Serve as an extension of the CEO and SLT to enable their maximum efficiency in strategic decision making, achieving goals, strategic research and project, growth opportunities and exploring M&A. This role will contribute to and implement strategic initiatives across the company, primarily supporting the CEO enabling us to grow faster and more efficiently.

Responsibilities

Activities may include but are not limited to:

Program manage initiatives of the Office of the CEO and other identified leaders; work closely with the CEO to ensure they are well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities.

Interface and coordinate regularly with SLT, cross-functional managers and teams within Worldwide. Fulfill strategic needs of the company for decisions, project leadership and influence where there are gaps in organizational coverage.

Ensure alignment, buy-in, and open communication across the organization.

Collaborate with the SLT to define strategy, ownership and accountability, force and facilitate prioritization and delivery deadlines.

Facilitate internal and external meetings; manage and take key meeting notes and actions by creating “white board to PowerPoint” presentations; confirming that the processes discussed are feasible, create and follow-up on action items; drive follow up and execution from key meetings.

Compile and edit briefing materials for meetings (e.g. identify goals and talking points, provide background on attendees and existing business relationships, summarize opportunities for Worldwide to work with external partner, etc.)

Drive board meeting preparation, set and drive internal schedule to meet board deliverables.

Travel as needed and requested.

Liaise with internal staff at all levels.

Maintain extensive files, status reports and contact databases

Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of all work product.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide network of individuals e.g. coworkers, managers and customers.

Metrics driven and goal oriented

Confident in managing up

Ability to comfortably dive into most/any area of the business or product

Exceptional time management skills

Personal qualities: proactive, action-oriented, solutions-focused, highly organized

Your experience

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of work experience within Clinical Research, or 4-5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical/pharma services industry.

Experience in the Professional Services/Strategic Consulting industry is a plus.

MBA is preferred.

Demonstrated record of strong academic and professional achievement.

Excellent project management and decision-making skills on cross functional initiatives. PMP certification preferred.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive multiple projects at once.

Experience as a thought partner, drawing and surfacing key insights in a clear and concise way.

Exceptionally strong time management.

Broad managerial skills

Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Personal qualities: analytical, proactive, action-oriented, solutions-focused, highly organized, resilient, fast-thinker, operations-savvy

Salesforce experience a plus

Promotion to the next level is not automatic based on years of experience. Personnel are evaluated on proven competency, level of responsibility, and ability to work independently.
