The role:

A day in the life:

  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day general office and technical support functions of the assigned section.
  • Guide, develop and empower staff.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and efficiently communicate division and agency strategies, priorities and expectations.
  • Set performance expectations for staff and monitor progress. Provide feedback and/or coaching as needed.
  • Assist in the recruitment and retention process.
  • Review and approve invoices, supply orders and purchasing needs.
  • Coordinate and implement change management needs for supervised sections.
  • Review processes and recommend procedural updates, system updates, workflow and personnel efficiencies.
  • Coordinate and manage special projects.
  • Respond to and resolve customer complaints.
  • Work is performed in a typical office environment with frequent interruptions and contact with the general public.
  • Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Minimum qualifications:

Three years of lead work, supervision or progressively related experience.

OR

A bachelor's degree in a related field.
