VP, Operations

The VP, Operations will function as a member of the Management Team and work closely with cross-functional partners to deliver a best in class member experience, daily operations, facilities and hospitality experience for our members with a key focus on driving member growth and team member development. This role will report to the Chief Executive Officer and the ideal candidate will thrive in an environment where strategic thinking and in-field presence are key skills. This is a hybrid role with the office located in midtown Manhattan.

Responsibilities

  • Drive accountability for achieving key operational and financial goals and KPIs at the studio and regional level
  • Operationalize and execute cross-functional strategic initiatives that continue to challenge the status-quo, with a focus on hospitality
  • Engage with riders to understand key desires and create strategies to address those needs to improve the in-studio experience
  • Guide and train in-studio teams to understand service and hospitality driven sales initiatives focused on continued rider engagement and the future development of SoulCycle’s membership offerings
  • Experience fostering a Diverse, Equitable, and Inclusive environment. DEI is in this person’s DNA and is in everything that they do
  • Drive strong talent management by working with the people team to define and deliver a strategy to attract, develop and retain strong studio team and studio leadership
  • Promote continuous studio and rider experience innovation across all studios to drive rider engagement and loyalty
  • Proactively evaluate studio performance, be the voice of the field and provide insights and recommendations to elevate studio performance
  • Build on culture of hospitality and community through meaningful investment in training, people development to drive retention and employee growth
  • Establish and reinforce operating best practices for studios, improve labor distribution and build and refine the operating model
  • Inspire and lead people across all studios and regions with an ability to resonate culturally across a highly diverse workforce
  • Partner with Retail leadership to drive retail strategy within studios operations
  • Partner with VP, Strategic Finance to create strong integration between Finance and operations to optimize profitability and effectively deploy capital across the operating network
  • Ensure operating compliance with all federal, state and local regulations and laws

Qualifications

  • BA/BS required - MBA a bonus
  • 15+ years of experience in increasingly complex field-based operations roles
  • Must have understanding and enthusiasm for not only the SoulCycle brand and class experience, but for premium, elevated, service driven experience
  • Outstanding communication verbal and written, and strong influence skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams as well as autonomously
  • Excellent time management skills and organizational skills with the ability manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience developing operations plan supporting a budget
  • Experience with P&L/earnings and income statements
  • Experience with business strategy and planning
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company's success
  • Must adhere to a hybrid schedule and travel to studios as needed

Pay Transparency

Min $250K - Max $280K and bonus 25%
